In the event of temperatures at 40 degrees or below, we will come to your location and arrange for heaters, ensuring your winter party guests can revel in comfort.
Our tent provides a perfect shelter for the animals, giving you the option to have the ponies and horses walked outside if preferred. We extend all our packages to the winter months.
Kindly take note: We utilize the tent side walls, ensuring safe use unless the wind conditions deem it unsafe. An alternative option is laying tarps in a 10 x 10 garage area for the petting zoo.
The heated tent is designed to maintain a warm ambiance and is not intended for removing coats. It serves to take the chill out of the air and serves as a cozy spot for the children. We recommend having hot cocoa for the children inside, a wonderful addition to go with glitter stencils, balloon twisting or face paint.
Alternatively, if you prefer an indoor setup, you can choose our smaller Zootopia package, perfect for fitting inside a basement or walk-out porch area.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Winter party set up may vary according to the weather that day. You will have different set up options for your party as described below.
If the temperature is below 40 degrees, we are prepared for options. Our set up options are discussed with you prior to your event day. However, please understand that weather may change quickly in Michigan winter and your final set up is decided upon arrival.
Garage space is an option with a tarp set up, or we can provide an easy up tent and put a portable heater
inside as a warming station for the petting zoo animals.
If there is no wind, we have the option of attaching 3 side walls to the tent. Please understand the tent is not intended for the children to go inside and remove their coats, it's intended to take the chill out of the air and act as a warming station.
If wind velocity is too high to prevent the safe use of the tent with side walls, Chamberlin event managers have the sole discretion to decide upon a safe set up, which may or may not include the tent or side walls or heater, due to current weather conditions.
If weather conditions prevent a safe set up and you would rather reschedule your party to another date, that is always an option.
We will reschedule your party and honor the deposit you paid for another date.

Winter party inside a garage or indoor space
If you have a garage or indoor space, we need about a 10 x 10 area cleared for a complete petting zoo.
We put tarps down to protect your floor space. If you have the mini petting zoo only, we can even set up in your basement. If you have pony or horse back rides included, you just need to provide a snow cleared walkway of at least 20 x 20 area, or a cleared sidewalk or driveway.
Tent outside with side flaps
If there is no wind we have the option of putting on 3 side flaps. And put in a portable heater as a warming station.
Please understand the tent is not intended for the children to go inside and remove their coat and be toasty warm (our animals would be sick).
It is intended to take the chill out of the air and act as a warming station.
Tent outside with no side flaps
If there are wind conditions on the day of your party, we may not be able to set up the side flaps. We will put up the tent with the portable heater inside to provide a "warming station" for the children.
Please note: Often this decision is not made until the day of the party as wind conditions change.
Please understand, the safety of your children and our animals is our main concern.
Petting zoo outside no tent
Often we have a chilly but sunny Michigan day. The children can bundle up and enjoy the petting zoo outside without a tent. We can still set up the heater as a warming station if you like. Or you can have them come inside and enjoy a hot cocoa station while they get their face painted.
